Insider Stock Purchases This Week: August 18-24, 2026

No congressional trades made this week’s list. JEF accounted for 94% of tracked insider-acquisition value, while NMRA and MED showed clustered activity. The notable disclosures were corporate-insider acquisitions reported in the August 18-24, 2026 filing window. The underlying transactions ranged from approximately $178,288 to $324 million, with most dated August 19 or August 20 and one dated July 15.

We ranked reported acquisitions by approximate dollar value, then separately flagged repeated buying by the same issuer or insider.

This was not a meaningful Congress-trading week: the list was dominated by one older, entity-level JEF transaction, while the more comparable signals were clustered insider acquisitions in NMRA and MED.

One JEF transaction dominated the total

SUMITOMO MITSUI FINANCIAL GROUP, INC., identified as a director, reported the largest transaction. The entity acquired 5,906,542 JEF shares at $54.86 per share, an approximate value of $324,032,894. The transaction occurred on July 15, more than a month before the August 18-24 disclosure window.

Excluding JEF, the remaining reported acquisitions totaled approximately $21.4 million; ZG and MDLZ contributed approximately $13.2 million, or about 62%, of that amount.

The next three reported acquisitions were Cassandra Knight in ZG at approximately $7.6 million, Dirk Van de Put in MDLZ at approximately $5.6 million and Nicolas Finazzo in ASLE at approximately $3.1 million.

Disclosures at a glance

The source information establishes that these were reported acquisitions but does not provide exact filing dates, primary-filing links, SEC accession numbers, transaction codes or the details needed to distinguish open-market purchases from private transactions, financing participation or other acquisitions. The table therefore labels those fields as unavailable rather than assigning unsupported classifications. The entries should not be treated as equivalent conviction signals without reviewing their primary filings.

NMRA and MED showed clustered activity

NMRA had two matching reported acquisitions on August 20. Paul L Berns, identified as a director and officer, and Joshua Pinto, identified as a director and President and CEO, each acquired 500,000 shares at $1.52. Each transaction was valued at approximately $760,000.

The matching share counts, price and transaction date make the NMRA entries more notable as a cluster than either acquisition would be in isolation, although the unavailable transaction classifications prevent a conclusion about whether they arose from the same type of acquisition.

MED director Parsa Kiai appeared twice on consecutive days. Kiai reported acquiring 28,538 shares at $11.66 on August 19, worth approximately $332,685, followed by 41,975 shares at $11.60 on August 20, worth approximately $487,065. The sequence merits attention because it reflects repeated activity by the same insider rather than unrelated one-off acquisitions.

Transaction dates and filing dates are different

This roundup covers disclosures tracked from August 18 through August 24, not transactions executed exclusively during that period. The July 15 JEF entry illustrates the distinction: its transaction date substantially predates the filing window, while the other listed transactions occurred on August 19 or August 20.

Congressional transaction reports may be filed up to 45 days after a trade; SEC Form 4 transactions are generally due within two business days, although exceptions and amendments occur.

CapitolRadar tracks publicly disclosed trades (STOCK Act and SEC Form 4 filings); disclosures can lag the trade by up to 45 days. This article is impersonal information for your own research, not investment advice.
